Volume refreshed at —.

This site uses traded volume in place of open interest because OI isn't available from our data source. Volume is cumulative for the day; the hatched part of a bar is volume added during the selected window.

What the volume chart shows

Each pair of bars is one strike price: red for call volume and green for put volume traded today. Tall bars mark the strikes where traders are most active — the levels the market is paying the most attention to.

Many traders read a cluster of heavy call volume above the current price as a possible resistance zone, and heavy put volume below it as possible support. Volume alone doesn't say whether options were bought or sold, so use it alongside price action and the volume change view.

Why volume instead of open interest?

Our data source doesn't provide open interest (OI), so this site shows traded volume everywhere OI would usually appear. Volume reacts faster — it shows where activity is happening today — while OI shows positions that are still open. Read more in Max Pain and the Put-Call Ratio.

Questions? We have Answers.

What does high call volume at a strike mean?

It means many call contracts at that strike changed hands today. When it sits above the current price, traders often treat that strike as a possible resistance level, because option writers there would lose if the market rallied through it.

What does high put volume at a strike mean?

Heavy put trading at a strike below the current price is often read as a possible support level. It can reflect hedging, bearish bets or put writing, so it is a clue rather than a signal on its own.

Is option volume cumulative?

Yes. Volume counts every contract traded since the market opened, so bars only grow through the day. To see what traded in a recent window, use the Volume Change page.
